A small growing white flowering Echium which much finer leaves than the more common Echiums. Reaching only 1.5m high and wide, aculeatum is probably easier to position in smaller garden. Does need to be placed away from paths as it has fine needle like hairs on the leaves to reduce water loss, but these can be somewhat scratchy. Otherwise a magnificent, and rare (in cultivation) echium for the garden. Full sun, dry tolerant once established.
