This Echinops is a go to for those lovers of thistles and prickles, or who like living dangerously in the garden! If you have a neighbours cat that uses your garden as its ablution block, or the postie cuts through your garden bed, plant a few of these and your issues will disappear. As an added bonus it has great flowers, starting off white and ageing to bluish-lilac, is dry tolerant, impervious to heat, and flower stems will reach over 1m tall. I always have this Echinops in my gardens as the go-to for tough spots. And to remind me that some plants are just really and truly anti-social!! Full sun to part shade.
