This salvia surprised me when I first grew it. Coming from the mountains of Lebanon and Israel I was skeptical that it would cope with the long, hot summers of Perth. And was I wrong! Happiest in a free draining soil, it did exceptionally well in my garden at South Guildford flowering in all but the depth of winter. It's foliage is basal so best on the edge of a path and flower stems reach up to 50cm high. Small pink flowers are produced with such abundance that their small size is made up for by the profusion of blooms. Does self seed a little around the base of the plant, but these are easily removed. Full sun to part shade.
