A fast growing perennial from South America, this Centratherum is terrific for fillings gaps quickly. Use it in new gardens while slower growing woody plants are developing, or just fill gaps quickly. Small, purple daisy like flowers are produced from spring until autumn if the plant gets watered over the drier weather. While plants are relatively short lived they do self-seed gently so a few offspring are often nearby. One of those old-fashioned plants that has fallen from favour but really deserves to be back in gardens for its easy of cultivation! Full sun to some afternoon shade is fine; reaching 40cm high x 35cmW (approx).
