A quick growing, Scabiosa like perennial that is terrific for flower meadow style gardens, cottage gardens and naturalistic type planting. It's also useful for floral arranging. Long stemmed, burgundy flowers are produced almost year around in Perth. The depths of winter is a good time to clean out old foliage and flower stems in preparation for spring. An easy plant for reliable, nearly year long colour. Full sun to some afternoon shade in hot locations. Does best with some supplementary water during hot, dry periods.
