A fast growing Plectranthus that copes well with sun or shade, making it eminently useful in the garden. It can readily reach 3m tall thus useful as a screening shrub, or pruned periodically, can be kept to a preferred size. Tomentose foliage is soft and velvety, mid green and attractive in its own right. Long purple flowers are produced throughout the year with a major flush during winter and spring. In the hills it looks best with a weekly water during dry weather although on sandy soils or in a sunny position it make need twice weekly watering during hot, dry weather. Protect from frost when young.
