A good Sedum for Perth conditions, growing well in full sun through to part shade. Matrona has a burgundy stem which contrasts nicely with the green leaves and matches the pinkish burgundy flowers in late summer through autumn. Grows to around 35cm high and generally doesn't need a prune during the growing season unless it gets too much fertiliser. In this case a prune mid spring to reduce the height will counter any possibility of flopping open in summer.
