One of the toughest Sedums for hot, dry climates it grows well in full sun through to part shade. In rich soil it does grow large and can become lax, falling open, so a cut back by half during mid spring will assist with maintaining an upright plant at flowering time. On a sandy soil it does require watering one or twice a week but on heavier soils it can grow without any additional water over the dry months. Flower buds start soft pink and as they open and age, become ochre. Height is variable depending on soil and pruning.
