Fantastically large leaves on this Acanthus, akin to the size of a child's umbrella! The new growth is lime green in colour and matures to the typical green of A.mollis. The scalloped leaves on Hollard's Gold differentiate it from the species mollis although flowers are the same. I have never found Hollard's Gold to be invasive, if anything I wish it would grow faster so it can be planted throughout the garden. Morning sun to dappled shade keeps it growing well. Is summer dormant in dry soils but can retain foliage if moisture is available during the drier months. Foliage to 0.5m high and similar diameter.
