This Kniphofia is one of the few species with a globose flower shape rather than the more typical cylindrical flower commonly seen in Kniphofia, especially those in cultivation. Reputedly dry tolerant although it is endemic to moist grasslands. I grow it in a boggy site riddled with clay and it thrives. In Western Australia it would be best with irrigation in summer although in cooler climes may be more dry tolerant. Flowers late summer and into autumn. Foliage 0.4mH, inflorescence to 0.6mH.
