One of those old fashioned plants that should be getting a popularity resurgence from the New Naturalism garden design movement. Spreads gently via rhizomes making it easy to contain and site in a low perennial border. Long flowering from late spring to late summer or early autumn if the weather stays warm. Does better in a lightly moist soil, with full sun to some afternoon shade. 40cm high in flower and as wide as you, or moisture, allows.
