A perennial Verbascum that develops larger flowers each year of growth. Typical basal foliage, albeit diminutive compared to olympicum, sits easily among Asters, lower growing grasses, and smaller Kniphofia. Each year the inflorescence develops additional branches until it resembles a smaller version of Verbascum olympicum. During the hottest part of summer, the foliage disappears briefly but returns mid autumn to begin the growth cycle again. Spring flowering with inflorescence lasting up to three months until seed is set. 1.5m high and 35cm wide.
