Grapevines are an excellent plant for the home garden. They can be trained over pergolas, the hills hoist or along the fence to produce grapes for eating, drying or even home wine production! Grapes are Mediterranean plants, perennial and work well in waterwise gardens as their deep root systems mean they enjoy infrequent but deep watering.
Seedless grapes make excellent eating grapes, either straight off the vine or chilled in the fridge. Seedless varieties are available as either red or white skinned grapes. Sultana grapes can be dried for use in cooking and if wine is more your style, we have a selection of varieties that can be grown for this purpose.
